Premier David Mabuza together with his entire Executive council visit Thembisile Hani Local Municipality

The Executive Council outreach is part of government’s efforts to be closer to the communities by interacting with members of the communities with a view to acknowledge the basic services that are there, listen to comments and concerns of the communities and collectively map the waforward in speeding up service delivery. The first day was dedicated to meetings between members of the Executive Council and their respective Departmental stakeholder forums which will be convened in different venues in the municipality.

The 8 forums include the Business, Station Commanders and CPFs, Hospitals, Clinics boards and NGOs, Small farmers, Traditional Leadership, Principals and SGBs and Contractors/ Consultancy. These sectoral meetings took place from 17h00. The forums assist the Executive Council to get first hand information from the relevant key stakeholders about all the issues related to development in the area. The second day was a closed sitting of the Executive Council at the municipality and was expected to start at 09:00 and conclude its work around 15:00. Thereafter councilors will meet with all Members of the Executive Council at 17:00.
